All Star Snub?

The NBA All Stars where announced the other day and they left the main man in the middle for the Knicks off the roster. Tough break. However, did he really get snubbed? There is no question Eddy Curry does not belong on the team more then the reserve center, Dwight Howard does. But then there is the VOTED in starting center, I don't know if you've ever heard of him, his first name is Shaq. In all fairness he does not belong in the game being injured for the majority of the season, and his team is doing horribly defending their championship(due to injuries). If Shaq had any compassion he would ask to sit out the game, not only to recognize Curry, but also in order for him to not reinjure himself(i mean he's been in it enough times)and Curry would then most likely get the All Star nod. I love Shaq and have a great deal of respect for the most dominating center of this era and maybe of all time, BUT he has to much of an ego to do something like that. Plus the NBA needs Shaq in that game he is the face and the comedian of the league. I don't know why I should be so nieve to think that they would actually pick players to go to the "All Star" game that actually deserve it? That right there is part of what's wrong with the NBA, but this could all pan out and this rant will be all for naught, but I'll believe that when I see it.
